That's, insane. OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI alone swallowed $160B+.February became the single biggest month for startup funding in history.

Think about it ... the biggest single quarter in VC history!

Sure, this number is skewed by the fact there is a lot of funding concentration on the frontier models, but, still. Wow.

On the M&A front SpaceX acquired xAI in a $250B deal, also the largest in history.

Alphabet closed its $32B Wiz acquisition.

OpenAI is on an acqui-hire spree, snapping up vertical experts faster than any other lab. The application layer is getting absorbed.

The good thing is, we are past the easy money and the easy narratives. Here's to the next stage, where real breakthroughs will change the way we live and work.
